All 298 souls aboard perished. My thoughts and prayers are with the families, friends, and acquaintances of those that were on board.
Boeing 777-2H6ER, serial number 28411, registration 9M-MRD was the 84th Boeing 777 produced. Its official flight took place on July 17 1997. As previously noted it came down from the skies for the last time on July 17. 2014...exactly 17 years after it first flew .
The presence of the numbers 7 and 17 undisputedly make a strong presence in this unfortunate calamity. At the risk of igniting conspiracy theories and hopes of a big, pay day among pick 3 and 4 numbers players, the presence of 17 and 7 does bear examination. The big media outlets have left this one dormant, but I do feel at least the significance of 17 to the first and last flight dates of the aircraft and the duration between those dates is worth at least acknowledging.
As of the date of this article, investigators have concluded the airline was shot down by a surface to air missile. Finger pointing and denial between Russia and Ukraine has investigators digging deep to find just who is responsible. The usual terrorist's suspects don't seem to be "persons of interest" in the initial investigations. 9-11 taught us that big terrorist atrocities can have numerical correlations attached to them and 7 and 17 appearing in the history and demise of Malaysia flight H17 had me exploring the terrorist option at the outset. I stereotyped Al-Qaeda wrongly this time-sorry-guilty as charged.
Still, the consistency of 7 and 17 leaves me wondering about those that are responsible for shooting down the airline. Was the shooting down of the commercial aircraft carrier an accident? Was it a covertly planned and choreographed attack by one the organizations that were at odds with each other in the region? The big recipient from such an act would be Ukraine if they could pull it off and make it appear as if Russia shot down the airline. Russia would draw the ire of the Western world and its allies resulting in unbearable pressure to back down and out of Ukraine. I don't see any win for Russia actually doing it themselves.
Then the numbers could all be coincidental stakeholders in the life of Boeing 777-2H6ER, serial number 28411. The 7s and 17s could be simply indexes in the annals of destiny and fate relative I am sure to a million more events, places, people, and things in the vast vacuum of time turned history.
