Baltimore's Bad Ass Kick Ass Women of Power

Anybody that knows me know I love my bad girls. I don't mean in the criminal context of bad. I'm talking about those females with attitudes and dispositions that will make an African lion think twice about approaching them. You play by their rules or the rules they've committed to uphold, or you don't play at all. They carry themselves with style, class and dignity. They don't apologize for other's ineptness to understand them. They're straight, strong, and intoxicating - with no chaser. When you're in their presence you know "You're stomping with the big girls".
Their glares are intense. Their smiles are charismatic and disarming. Their attitude doesn't entertain nonsense.  They're about the business at hand. They get shit done.

They succeed at relationships, careers, and most anything else they set their sites on. They don't have to say "kiss my ass" - they know you'll wind up doing it at some point. Power gives them that latitude to harbor that attitude.

Yes, bad girls wield power. You can roll with them or they'll roll right through you.

The death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray while in the illegal custody of Baltimore City Police catapulted three of the baddest ass females I've ever seen into the spotlight. Armchair quarterback these women if you will - they'll intercept any notion you suggest of weakness and shove it down your milk toast throat. Ladies and gentleman, I give you three bad ass women that you don't want to cross up - especially if you're in Maryland.

Stephanie Rawlings - Blake - Mayor Baltimore Maryland (I love this woman)

Baltimore Maryland Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake

Became the 49th Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland in 2010. She is the second woman to hold the office.
Born: March 17, 1970 (age 45), Baltimore, MD
Spouse: Kent Blake (m. 2000)
Parents: Pete Rawlings
Children: Sophia Blake
Education: Oberlin College, Western High School, University of Maryland School of Law

Why she's bad ass.
She came out against the very law enforcement entity she relies on and told them in regards to brutality, racism and any other bullshit they had been engaging in - game over boys. F***k with me after Freddie Gray and you f***k yourself. (Well she didn't drop f - bombs she didn't have to.)
Bad ass women are cute when they're pissed.

The Freddie Gray incident dialed up another bad ass woman courtesy of Baltimore.

As the youngest top prosecutor of any major city in America, newly elected States Attorney Marilyn Mosby found herself playing the pivotal role in a case that had the international community watching.

Mosby's attractive youthful looks and short time at the helm of a high profile office may give those with criminal intent in Maryland a fallible sense of confidence. Think twice about jerking this bad ass lady's chain. Six cops wound up doing it and got theirs yanked right back.

Baltimore States Attorney Marilyn Mosby

Marilyn Mosby served as Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore City from 2005 to 2012. She became a litigator for Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2012.

In 2013, Mosby announced plans to run for State's Attorney for the city of Baltimore.

She ran against incumbent Gregg L. Bernstein in the Democratic primary. In the Democratic primary, Mosby defeated Bernstein with 55 percent of the vote. She faced no opposition in the general election.

Mosby won the general election, receiving 94 percent of the vote, defeating Independent Russell A. Neverdon Sr., who staged a write-in campaign.

Mosby was sworn into office on January 8, 2015

Why she's a bad ass.

Word to the dumb asses - don't run a foul of the law in Baltimore.

At the same time Mosby was cast into the national spotlight another bad ass kick ass woman was putting her boots on the ground in Baltimore.

 Major General Linda Lee Singh

Linda Singh came into power about the same time as Marilyn Mosby. She was appointed as the 29th adjutant general of Maryland effective January 21, 2015. She is responsible for the daily operations of the Maryland Military Department, which includes the Maryland Army National Guard, Maryland Air National Guard, Maryland Emergency Management Agency, and Maryland Defense Force. She is a senior advisor to the Governor of Maryland, and is responsible for the readiness, administration, and training of more than 6,700 members of the Military Department.

Singh made her first national appearance when she led her Maryland National Guard into Baltimore to assist law enforcement with piping down civil unrest that resulted from the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray. Freddie Gray succumbed to injuries sustained while he was in the custody of  Baltimore City Police officers.

Why she's a bad ass.

Don't let charismatic smile fool you. This bad girl "commands"  with an iron hand and unrelenting drive.

These three women exemplify the results of  great education, high morals and a dedication to to achieving one's goals.
