Target  has partnered with gift card buy back website Cardpool in a gift card  trade-in program that involves Target taking your unwanted gift cards from other retailers in return for store credit.

The program is available at locations offering target mobile and trade-in counters. These counters are usually found in the electronics department.

The trade-in process is simple.

Bring in your unwanted gift card(s) and a Target employee will make you an offer based on the resale value of your card(s).

If you like the offer, the employee will issue you a Target gift card for that amount right on the spot.

Target is taking  gift cards from more than 600 retailers, so the odds of getting an unwanted gift card traded in for Target store credit are in your favor.
