Female Street Harrasment Turns Deadly For One Homewood PA Woman
Friday, January 22, 2016 - Homewood PA - Female street harassment escalated to a murderous level for a mother of two.
Janese Talton-Jackson 29 of Penn Hills, was at a local bar when 41-year-old Charles McKinney began making advances and she eventually left the bar. McKinney followed her out of the bar and shot her.
Police received reports of shots fired in the area and arrived on the scene. They spotted McKinney in his vehicle and made a traffic stop, but while they were stopped, McKinney overheard a dispatch over the police radio that a woman had been shot in the area. That's when McKinney sped off. Police chased and fired at him, but he continued to speed away until he crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle and was then taken into custody.
In addition to the charge of homicide that McKinney is facing for the shooting of Talton-Jackson, McKinney also faces two counts of aggravated assault, firearms without a license, fleeing or attempting to elude police, two counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving.
Women, please be careful out there.
